In the heart of Milan’s Bocconi district, a young lawyer’s residence has been thoughtfully reimagined by Anice Architettura into a refined home that artfully blends vintage character with contemporary design. Spanning 1,937 square feet, the apartment was completed in 2023 and captures a delicate interplay between eras, textures, and architectural sophistication.
Fluidity and Functionality in the Living Area
The apartment’s layout centers on openness and flexibility. The kitchen and living room are visually and functionally divided by custom glass and aluminum sliding doors—offering a now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t spatial experience. These elements enable dynamic flow between social spaces while preserving distinct functions when needed.
The design is enhanced with:
-
Decorative skirting and flush doors
-
Gold accents on knobs and handles
-
A concealed yet elegant ventilation system
This mix of detail ensures every element plays both a functional and aesthetic role.
Curated Interiors: Iconic Meets Eclectic
Throughout the space, classic references meet modern icons:
-
In the kitchen, a chrome-plated GLOW lamp by Penta Light contrasts beautifully with a rustic oak table and transparent Calligaris “Parisienne” chairs.
-
In the dining room, Pholc Kandisky 30 pendant lamps create a striking geometric display.
-
A custom Vanity Table by Anice Architettura in the hallway adds a touch of Old Hollywood glamour while offering practical storage and personal style.
Timeless Materials and Patterns
A key design thread is materiality:
-
Hungarian parquet, laid in a herringbone pattern, runs elegantly through the hallway and bow-window area.
-
Each space evokes a unique mood while contributing to a cohesive narrative.
Carefully chosen textures and colors balance warmth and contrast, vintage sensibility and modern comfort.
The Bathrooms: Sculpted Sophistication
Each of the home’s three bathrooms tells its own story:
-
The master bathroom features 3D floral tiles, black fixtures, and a serene tactile ambiance.
-
A monolithic stone wash basin defines the smaller bath, paired with full-height ceramic and wood flooring.
-
The third bathroom blends earthy tones with seamless surfaces, using LED-integrated ceiling grooves to softly illuminate the walls.
Together, these bathrooms exemplify luxury through restraint and sensory design.
Conclusion: A Home with Character and Continuity
This Exclusive Apartment in Milan by Anice Architettura is a curated space where memory and modernity coexist. The result is a timeless interior that resonates with its owner’s identity—elegant yet functional, layered yet cohesive. Through bespoke details, iconic furnishings, and vintage-modern harmony, this renovation transforms an urban apartment into a livable design statement.
