This house is one of the oldest building in the Arán Valley, so it has small windows and little light enters them. The woods, as in the mountain houses of before, were dark. In the bedroom, they fulfilled the owners’ dream: they integrated the bathroom, with a romantic antique bathtub at the foot of the bed. When you come back from skiing, a bath is appreciated! Behind, we put microcement, to collect the water if it falls and that the wood is not damaged.
This house is the best hideaway for cold and snowy afternoons. Its wood covers you and its kitchen invites you to spend the afternoons making a cake. Do we enter?
WHAT A WINTER TASTE WITH A FIREPLACE!
This house has been a kind of second love for its owners, a mountain refuge where to rest, relax … in spring, summer, and of course in winter! It is ready to receive them, warm and pleasant.
THE CUSHIONS ADD THE SPECIAL TOUCH
The carpentry on the staircase was renovated and the house beams were painted white to give more light. This dining room takes advantage of the corner under the stairs. The table and chairs are heirlooms.
A KITCHEN TO SPEND HOURS
“The table is made of cherry wood and they already had it. With the bank, we gain space and capacity, and not reloading of chairs. We changed the fronts of the furniture but we kept the structure of the kitchen, with copper utensils to maintain the essence of the rustic kitchen of the valley ”.
STONE AND WOOD
All the doors in the house were restored and the old locks were kept.
