Decorating the hall with mirrors is another lesson that we have learned well. Mirrors multiply clarity and the feeling of space and are very practical to see before leaving home. Here they have opted for two identical mirrors hung above the antique sideboard and to maintain symmetry, too, with the black table lamps.
IDEA OF EL MUEBLE: THE PANELS TO MATCH THE FURNITURE
The twin mirrors that decorate the wall of the sofa have been chosen with panels in the same tone as the chest of drawers. Its gray finish is lighter than black metal and less contrasting.
They have a somewhat neglected vintage air that gives them a lot of elegance and they look good in any room in the house, such as in this corner of the living room. When placing two mirrors framing a piece of furniture they mustn’t protrude from the sides.
THE FURNITURE TRICK: USE THEM TO REFLECT LIGHT
As if they were two windows, these paneled mirrors bring the light from the living room to the dining room. In square format, they visually widen the dining room and give an even more symmetrical feeling (their sides are the same and the panels are the same). To make them balanced, you must hang them at eye level, more or less.
WITH FINE PANELS AND A VERY MODERN LOOK
If you like mirrors with panels but are afraid that the black iron will mark you a lot, you can opt for models with a more subtle design and slimmer profiles, as in this dining room. The twin mirrors rest on the rougher sideboard to soften it and add a modern counterpoint.
IN PAIRS, BUT NOT SO IDENTICAL
This last idea opts for a duo of mirrors on the dining room wall, but in this case, they are not totally the same. Although they share the finish of the frame and its thickness, the mirrors have different shapes: one is more stylized and the other is lower and wider. Both, in a white striped finish, stand out against the dark gray wall.
