They give depth, illuminate, expand, attract attention… Mirrors are much more than a decorative object. Make the most of them in any corner of the house!
1. FRAMELESS
Behind the sofa, you have a shelf? Take advantage of it to rest on it a thin mirror, with irregular panels and without a frame so as not to take up space, as the interior designer Asun Antó has done here on the low cabinet on the wall of the sofa. You will see how your living room magically expands and appears brighter. It is the effect of the light bounced off it.
2. SUPPORTED IS TREND
It is increasingly common to find mirrors resting on the ground, especially the larger ones, instead of hanging, as tradition dictates. It is an option that will give a decorative plus to the room, you will save yourself having to pierce the wall and you can easily move it to another place.
The mirrors large format more sophisticated space where you put them. The interior designer Ana Galofré has placed this beautiful XL-size model with a gold frame behind the sofa. Leaning on the ground and, although it may not be seen whole, do not doubt that it will capture all eyes.
4. A LARGE MIRROR ABOVE THE SOFA
With an aged effect, this mirror has not been glued to the wall, but has been placed on a DM structure, as if it were a canvas; thus, in case of relocation, it is not necessary to break it. It consists of 16 identical pieces that, like a puzzle, make up the mirror.
5. FOCUS OF ATTENTION
Placing the mirror over the fireplace is a classic. And it is phenomenal! With this, you will not only attract the attention of its presence, but everything that is reflected in it will gain prominence: the ceiling moldings, a plant … This is what the interior designer Lucía Mariñas has achieved in this room.
6. BETWEEN TWO WINDOWS
A mirror leaning on a console, a dresser, or a bacon table, like the one in the image, is the best solution to decorate that space between two windows. The wooden frame gives warmth to this vintage corner of the living room that, inadvertently, has gained meters and light.
7. WHAT COOL MIRRORS!
A couple of mirrors with wooden frames, lacquered in blue, have been enough to give this room a breath of fresh air. The interior designer Sònia Badia has accompanied them with fiber furniture to enhance this informal, beachy atmosphere. Have you noticed what they reflect? Do you want to divert attention to a specific point in the bedroom? Place an item of vintage furniture and on it, a mirror of interest and you will get it. This is what has been done in this room completely dominated by the mural that occupies the headboard wall. Any advice? Make the mirror reflect a beautiful painting or sheet that you like to see from any angle of the room.
9. ROUND, BLACK AND SUGGESTIVE
If there is one place in the house where round mirrors are a resounding success, it is in the bathroom. Don’t tell me this model isn’t ideal! And fun! Doesn’t it remind you of the silhouette of a cat painted by a child or a balloon? With its two wall lights and the tap in black, pure trend!
10. PURE SYMMETRY
Two sinks, double taps, two wall lights, and, of course, two mirrors that double the space. In this bathroom, no one interferes with anyone. And it is proof that symmetry is synonymous with success. These round models framed in wood, like the basin, reflect the two shades chosen for this bathroom: white and wood.
