Concrete, Warmth, and Connection

Designed by In House, the Jardim Lusitano House in São Paulo exemplifies the firm’s mastery of integrating structure, light, and lifestyle. Conceived for a young family, the residence translates modern Brazilian living into a composition of raw materials, fluid spaces, and tactile comfort.

The project’s foundation lies in the dialogue between exposed concrete and natural wood—a juxtaposition that brings both strength and softness to the home. Through clean lines, neutral tones, and custom details, In House crafts a space that is minimalist yet full of warmth, contemporary yet timeless.

Design Concept: Balance and Integration

The architecture of Jardim Lusitano House is guided by integration and transparency. Social areas open fully toward the outdoors, transforming the pool and terrace into the visual and social heart of the home.
Sliding glass panels erase boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing natural light and cross-ventilation to define the ambiance.

Concrete walls and ceilings provide a sculptural backbone, while wood accents—from ceiling slats to cabinetry—add rhythm and intimacy. The use of neutral palettes enhances visual continuity, ensuring that textures, rather than colors, set the tone of the environment.

Custom Details and Contemporary Living

Every element in the house was custom-designed to reflect the family’s daily rhythm. Built-in furniture solutions optimize space while maintaining aesthetic harmony. The kitchen, dining, and living room form a continuous social hub—connected directly to the pool deck, where gatherings flow seamlessly between indoors and out.

Lighting design emphasizes natural shadows and reflections, accentuating the tactile qualities of concrete and wood. The result is a space that feels both elegant and lived-in, perfectly suited to a family’s routine of work, leisure, and togetherness.

Material Honesty and Lasting Comfort

In House’s design embraces the honesty of materials—letting textures speak for themselves.

  • Exposed concrete conveys permanence and architectural clarity.

  • Natural wood introduces warmth and human scale.

  • Glass openings invite light and garden views deep into the home.

This restrained palette reinforces the project’s contemporary ethos: a house that is sustainable in feeling, functional in design, and effortlessly beautiful.

A Home for Modern Brazil

More than a composition of materials, Jardim Lusitano House captures a way of life rooted in connection—between family, architecture, and landscape. In House once again demonstrates its ability to turn everyday living into a refined, sensory experience, where modern design and emotional comfort coexist in perfect harmony.
