A Serene Family Sanctuary Where Nature Meets Modern Vietnamese Living

Nestled in a peaceful alley of Ha Tinh, HT House by 007studio redefines the concept of multigenerational living in Vietnam. Designed for a family spanning three generations—grandmother, parents, and three children—the house embodies the essence of togetherness, light, and nature.

Through the interplay of air, water, and greenery, this residence becomes far more than a home: it is a harmonious refuge where daily life unfolds in rhythm with nature.

Architecture Rooted in Family and Place

Built on a trapezoidal plot, HT House is a testament to thoughtful spatial planning. The design team carefully arranged functional areas around the needs of the family:

  • Ground floor: a connected living, dining, and kitchen area that opens to both front and rear gardens.

  • Upper floors: bedrooms and private zones enveloped by auxiliary spaces such as bathrooms, an elevator core, and lush internal gardens.

The home’s two open façades enhance light, ventilation, and privacy. By raising the first-floor foundation and employing a natural stone fence, the architects ensure tranquility while maintaining connection to the surrounding environment.

Layered Spaces Inspired by Vietnamese Tradition

HT House draws inspiration from Vietnam’s vernacular homes, which traditionally feature layered thresholds that mediate between inside and out. The sequence—front garden → porch → living room → dining area → back garden—creates a gradual transition that softens light, reduces heat, and filters dust and noise.

This spatial rhythm encourages movement and interaction among family members while framing ever-changing views of the lotus ponds and greenery that envelop the home.

Interspersed courtyard gardens allow natural light and airflow to reach every corner, ensuring that the house breathes with the seasons. The lotus ponds, in particular, bring serenity and reflection, blurring the line between architecture and landscape.

Materiality and Modern Expression

The architectural language of HT House is minimal yet warm, relying on honest materials and natural textures. Local stone, timber, and glass create a palette that is both elegant and grounded. The design balances modern geometry with organic softness—where rectilinear volumes meet the gentle presence of water and vegetation.

Externally, the home’s stone façade and green terraces offer privacy without isolation, while inside, expansive openings and high ceilings create an atmosphere of openness and calm.

Light as a Living Element

Light plays a central role in defining the home’s ambiance. During the day, natural daylight animates the stone surfaces and timber textures, highlighting the tactile richness of each material. At night, soft artificial lighting introduces intimacy, transforming the spaces into warm, inviting sanctuaries.

This carefully choreographed lighting design reinforces the emotional connection between the inhabitants and their surroundings—celebrating both the vibrancy of day and the tranquility of night.

A Sustainable Expression of Harmony

Every aspect of HT House reflects sustainable thinking—from its passive cooling and ventilation strategies to the integration of local materials and craftsmanship. The result is a home that is environmentally responsive, culturally rooted, and deeply human.

HT House by 007studio exemplifies the evolution of Vietnamese residential architecture: a poetic balance between modern comfort and the timeless beauty of nature.
