Mediterranean Interior Design In A Luxurious Duplex

The magic of living near the coast and the luck of being able to do it in a luxury apartment.Β It is just what this duplex offers us located in one of the most luxurious urbanizations in Marbella, Nueva AndalucΓa. The interior designers have done their best to update the image, atmosphere, and furniture of this Mediterranean apartment full of character.

In fact, from the first moment, it impresses us thanks to that wow effectΒ that the designers have managed to recreate in space.Β This was the main premise of the project, which conveyed an emotion capable of engaging from the first glance.Β Something that they have achieved perfectly and that catches us with the illusion of living there or spending summer by the beach.

Neutral but sparkling.Β This is the idea behind the design of this apartment in which resources have been optimized and taken advantage of the possibilities that the duplex already offered.Β A property that allowed to maneuver quite well thanks to its surface area ofΒ 130 m2, of which 27 m2 correspond to terraces.

If we take a tour of the house, on the ground floor we find the hall, through which we access the living room, dining room, and kitchen that make up the same space; and terraces, and in the other wing a small toilet and one of the bedrooms.Β In all these rooms we can find that decorative line inΒ light tonesΒ that balances the apartment.

In fact, as the dining room is located in the same open space, the most important thing is that there be “a harmony between the pieces of furniture chosen”, according to the interior designers.

We can also enjoy the upper floor that has a small hall that connects two bedrooms with their respective en-suite bathrooms.Β The master bedroom also has a dressing room and a private terrace.Β In the proposed layout, the entrance was very exposed from the dining room area.Β To give a bit of privacy, we opted for a palillerΓa divider element and a piece of furniture made to measure in the same wood with a natural finish.Β Very aesthetic as well as functional.

Custom made sofa

As we can see, the living room has a custom-made sofa upholstered in off-white linen fabric, of great proportions, both in-depth and width to make it look like a very voluminous piece. In contrast, a light armchair with leather strips and a natural-colored wooden structure, similar to the palillerΓa, completes integrating all the elements.

Main bedroom

The master bedroom has a window to the staircase with a design of black lacquered cross metal profiles.Β The painting regains importance from there, so a simple decoration was selected for the wood-lined windowsill, with vases in neutral tones and pampas leaves.Β “We dared with a black bed due to a large amount of light in the space and we contrasted it with mustard-colored velvet cushions”, explains the designers.

For the lighting, we have chosen wall lamps with a movable brass arm and adjustable light intensity to provide that extra touch of comfort.Β The bedside tables are very practical as they are nesting tables and the smoked finish together with the velvet of the headboard make a very sophisticated tandem.
