A Fluid Dialogue Between Design and Emotion
Drawing inspiration from the molecular vitality of Hyaluronic Acid (HA)—a substance known for its ability to retain 1,000 times its weight in water—Huaxi HA UP Hotel by Bloomage WWD translates the concept of moisture, flow, and rejuvenation into an immersive spatial experience.
Located in Huaxiping, Chongqing, this contemporary hotel is conceived as a reflection of care and intimacy, echoing the brand’s ethos:
“A good hotel is like a reflection of love—it pays attention to you all the time, taking care of you wholeheartedly.”
Through its poetic approach to materiality, light, and form, the design transforms the science of hydration into a multisensory architectural narrative.
Reverberation of Light and Color
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a luminous and compact lobby that seamlessly integrates the front desk, reception, bar, and all-day dining restaurant.
A rhythmic black mirrored ceiling amplifies reflections and depth, while the terrazzo flooring—rich in contrasting textures—subtly alludes to Chongqing’s layered urban history.
The reception area embodies fluidity. Curving forms echo the flowing nature of HA molecules, creating a welcoming environment that encourages connection and relaxation.
At the bar, bright red metal panels, glass bricks, and colored bottles establish a bold yet refined tone. The juxtaposition of cool industrial materials and the mottled play of interior light evokes both vitality and intimacy.
A streamlined art corridor, resembling a floating ribbon, extends from the lobby to the guest areas. Acting as both a circulation path and an installation, it embodies motion, continuity, and elegance.
Along the way, a large photographic mural of the Danxia landforms brings the colors of nature indoors—rich reds, ochres, and purples—mirroring the geological poetry of China’s landscapes.
Spatial Sequence and Visual Harmony
Moving deeper into the plan, the guest room corridors unfold in a series of measured transitions that guide visitors from public energy to private calm.
Each guest room greets occupants with a soft choreography of light—a backlit headboard gently illuminating as the door opens, creating a sense of personal welcome.
A palette of black and red, warmed by amber lighting, establishes an atmosphere of refined leisure. Hand-painted floral motifs and vibrant red accents provide a touch of human artistry within the minimal composition.
In the suites, mirrored viewfinders in both the living and bath areas extend spatial depth, while freestanding bathtubs positioned beside panoramic windows turn daily rituals into elevated experiences—bathing quite literally “in the clouds.”
Brand Identity Through Material and Memory
The restaurant and social zones continue the thematic connection between hydration, light, and life.
An aqua-blue art painting inspired by hyaluronic acid serves as a focal point in the dining area, while red and gray seating contrasts with terrazzo tabletops, creating dynamic visual layering.
Throughout the hotel, Bloomage WWD carefully intertwines brand narrative with spatial storytelling.
Soft furnishings, signage, and visual identity (VI) design share a unified tone of calm precision and fluid imagination, conveying the concept of “making every life alive.”
Innovative materials such as Carlo Board add a subtle moist sheen reminiscent of HA’s texture, while the logo—derived from “Bobo”—features a concave embossed surface, leaving a tactile impression that reinforces the hotel’s sensory identity.
An Urban Haven for Art, Innovation, and Connection
Huaxi HA UP Hotel transcends the conventional hospitality typology.
It stands as an urban trend hub, merging lifestyle, art, and wellness into a cohesive brand experience.
Between reality and reflection, the hotel offers guests an atmosphere of renewal—where design becomes an act of care, and every surface shimmers with vitality.
