Claustras in the Garden

We have seen in recent months the different uses of the claustras that we could have screens inside. They also have their place outside, in the garden, or on a balcony. Claustras are both aesthetic and functional elements. And if you are looking to improve the comfort of your outdoor space, the cloisters will be your ally. Look for claustras in the kitchen, claustras in your child’s room, and claustras in small apartments.

Before talking about decoration, let’s see what can be the practical interests of screenings in a garden, on a terrace, or even a balcony.

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM PRYING EYES WITH CLOISTERS

The first interest that comes to my mind is that the cloisters allow you to preserve your privacy even when you are in the garden. Nobody wants to feel spied upon when they sunbathe in the summer on a sunbath or when they mow the lawn on weekends. In this case, the fences allow you to cut yourself off from the passage/neighbors much more than a simple fence. Claustras also require much less maintenance than a hedge with shrubs.

GIVE STRUCTURE TO A LARGE GARDEN

Another advantage of the fences in the garden is to give it a little more shape and structure. If you have a large outdoor space, you may want to play with spaces and volumes. Claustras can help you define the spaces. Why not create a quiet place with a swing, a few flowerpots, and claustras for in a corner of the garden? It is synonymous with guaranteed relaxation!

In addition to having functional advantages, screenings can also have purely decorative interests.

CLIMBING PLANTS AND CLOISTERS FOR A VEGETABLE GARDEN

Climbing plants can be a nightmare when they have no support to cling to and climb on. There is of course the roasting solution. But the screens are still more aesthetic than a simple fence. With this use of screens, you can very well take a very simple model. Over time, it will be much less visible since it will be just the support of the plant. What we like about this solution is that we will alternate between the plant’s plant and the wood of the fence. This accentuates the natural side of the garden.

EXTERIOR SCREENS TO HIDE A SLIGHTLY UGLY WALL

Another aesthetic utility of the outdoor fencing is to hide a wall that is not very beautiful. The fence will serve as a covering. You just have to be careful not to stick the fence on the wall but leave a few centimeters between the fence and the wall so that it can continue to breathe. This will avoid having moisture problems in your walls later.

WHAT MATERIALS FOR AN OUTDOOR FENCE?

We have a big crush on the exterior wooden screens. We like the natural side of wood which has its place in the garden. However, wood is not the only possible material. There are concrete barriers that can be integrated into a concrete wall. This material is robust and it is an interesting choice when it comes to fencing a garden that faces the street. There are also composite screens that have the ability to have good weather resistance. Generally, this solution has a more modern and contemporary result.
