In the heart of Moscow, this apartment with a glass home office by Alexander Tischler redefines compact urban living. Completed in 2023, the 731-square-foot residence was tailored for a young client with a passion for modern culture and music, who also aspires to create content for his YouTube channel. The interior celebrates personalization, functional zoning, and contemporary aesthetics—anchored by a bold blend of beige, black, and deep red.

A New Layout, Maximized Functionality

Originally designed with minimal partitions, the apartment underwent a radical transformation. Tischler’s team introduced a home office and guest bathroom by reconfiguring the hallway and eliminating unnecessary corridors. The result: a seamless flow between functional blocks and striking design cohesion.

At the entrance, graphite stoneware and black cabinetry set the tone. Backlit wardrobes offer effortless organization, with motion-sensor lighting inside shoe shelves and hanging rods. Two mirrors and a floating console complete the welcoming space.

Monochrome Kitchen and Concrete Dining

The kitchen block is dressed in large-format porcelain stoneware with upper modules finished in an MDF-metal enamel blend that mimics brushed metal. Mitred 45° joints create a monolithic feel. Thoughtful additions include a hidden corner module with outlets, an oven/microwave combo on a retractable system, and a micro concrete dining table paired with MDF Italia leather chairs. Overhead, Vibia round pendants echo the soft geometry of the backlit coffee table by the plush gray sofa.

A Glass-Enclosed Home Office for Creativity

Replacing the former corridor, the glass-enclosed home office features tinted partitions and blackout curtains for privacy while filming. RGB lighting in a recessed niche provides ambient effects for content creation, and a custom floating desk with concealed supports keeps the footprint light. Backlit drawer modules illuminate with a swipe, while shelving and an adjustable spotlight complete the setup.

Dynamic Wall Art and Thoughtful Lighting

To reflect the client’s taste, a local artist created graffiti art in a muted palette punctuated by deep red, energizing the living space. Vertical enameled panels near the TV wall add height and rhythm, while a strategically placed mirror bounces light across the room.

Guest Bathroom with a Lunar Aesthetic

Replacing the old corridor, the guest bathroom uses porcelain stoneware in a concrete texture, a custom round mirror, and soft radial lighting for a lunar mood. A full-height column conceals the washer, dryer, ironing board, and cleaning supplies.

Master Bedroom with Skyline Views

The bedroom orients to park and city views directly from the bed. Adjustable RGB ceiling lighting shifts mood via remote or wall panel. Storage solutions include a transparent accent wardrobe with RGB shelf lighting, a built-in cabinet with hidden laundry bins and backlighting, and a discreet door to the master bathroom.
