A-Cero’s Signature Design on the Coast

Perched on an elevated plot overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Weave House is a bold architectural statement by renowned Spanish studio A-cero. Known for their sculptural, organic forms and use of cutting-edge materials, A-cero—led by Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares—continues to push boundaries in contemporary residential design.

This 10,764-square-foot home exemplifies the studio’s signature aesthetic: a fusion of sharp geometric volumes, sinuous curves, and a refined materials palette. Its façade showcases a striking interplay of reflective black glass and pristine white DuPont™ Corian®, offering both high durability and an ultra-modern finish.

A Home Designed with Fluidity and Function

The Weave House spans three distinct levels:

  • Basement Level – Reserved for utility areas, including a spacious garage, mechanical rooms, and service zones.

  • Ground Floor – Hosts the public living zones, including the expansive open-plan living room, kitchen, and entertainment areas.

  • Upper Floor – Dedicated to private family spaces, featuring elegantly designed bedrooms with panoramic sea views.

Throughout the interior, light flows effortlessly thanks to extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing, establishing a continuous visual and spatial connection to the outdoors. The layout is enhanced by covered terraces, sculptural porches, and a walkable rooftop that features a dramatic infinity pool.

Architectural Plasticity in Motion

A defining characteristic of the Weave House is its façade—each of the four sides is uniquely sculpted yet unified in language. The seamless transition between Corian and glass elements reveals an exceptional level of craftsmanship, creating a dynamic and plastic surface expression. These forms do not merely serve aesthetic purposes—they echo the fluid nature of the Mediterranean waves nearby.

As with many of A-cero’s projects, the surrounding landscape is integral to the design. The meticulously crafted outdoor areas enhance privacy, maximize views, and reinforce the home’s serene connection with nature.

Why Weave House Stands Out

  • Materials: Use of DuPont™ Corian® and black glass creates a futuristic yet inviting feel.

  • Location: Elevated site offers privacy and panoramic Mediterranean views.

  • Design Approach: Combines monumental geometry with organic forms for a truly sculptural living experience.

  • Integration: Seamless flow between interior and exterior, enhanced by rooftop and terrace design.
