How to clean your home to become more functional

Without realizing it, objects accumulate in our homes over the months. When you come back from vacation, the chaos is even more obvious… It’s time to put things in order at home. Just do it step by step. What if back to school was the perfect time to start? Something to make your home more functional and pleasant before you start the new year. Let’s a check in!

Why empty the apartment a few days before the start of the school year?

When we are on holiday, we only have one more or less question in mind: Spritz or rosΓ© for an aperitif? As the school year begins, there are a few concerns of a completely different nature. What if one of the ways to deal with this September hurricane is to vacate your house or apartment? Here are a few good reasons to get started:

  • Simplify your everyday life: A tidy house or apartment is more functional and faster to store and clean.
  • Have a more comfortable home to live in: Make space, make space too! The light can circulate more easily and your home will appear even larger. In addition, it will certainly be liberating to get rid of items that you no longer like. Wherever you look, you will only see beautiful things that bring you joy.
  • Make room for your after-school activities: By saving space, you can make room for hobbies that are important to you. So you finally have the necessary space to practice watercolour or yoga according to your preferences.
  • Taking care of the environment: Isn’t back-to-school time for good resolutions? Putting items and clothing items back into circulation that you no longer use helps feed the circular economy. As a result, many new objects have to be manufactured less, thus saving water, electricity, raw materials and greenhouse gas emissions.
