1. RENOVATE THE HALL
Since when have you not redecorated your hall? We give you some clues: put a piece of furniture with presence, if you have room; otherwise, a console or super light shelves; a mirror that enlarges the space but never in front of the door, which feng shui advises against; a bench to take off your shoes; a vintage coat rack … All these solutions will be good allies to renew your appearance. Add a fiber rug and some wooden baskets and it will be super cozy!
2. FILL YOUR HOUSE WITH PLANTS
In the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and even the bathroom! Yes, put plants throughout the house and you will notice it more alive! They will purify the environment, raise your spirits and improve your mood. Small or XL, depending on the size of the room, discover 50 reasons to surround yourself with them. A good place to place them is in the free space between the sofas – as they have done here – using stools and small tables to create different heights with them. Now, what do you see your house more beautiful?
An inherited dresser, a cupboard acquired at a flea market, or a restored sideboard are those pieces of furniture with a character that will give your home a different touch. If you have the possibility of getting one, do not hesitate!
4. PUT SOME MOLDINGS YOURSELF
Add a classic and stylish touch to the living room by placing moldings on the ceiling and walls. Thanks to them you can “lower” a ceiling that is too high. You will only need to cut the pieces to the optimal size. Measure the linear meters you need and add 10% in case a piece is damaged during handling. Cut the moldings with the ends at 45º using a hand saw and glue them with mounting adhesive with the help of a silicone gun. Very easy.
5. LED STRIPS, ECO LIGHTING
Illuminate any corner, indoors and outdoors, with flexible LED strips. They are installed very easily because they are adhesive and you can cut them to the size you need. Place them under kitchen shelves or cabinets to illuminate the work area; under the headboard, to have ambient light; inside wardrobes, to better see inside and not waste time looking for a sweater … The possibilities are multiple!
6. NEW HEADBOARD
It is a very simple way to give a new air to the bedroom since the headboard is one of its star pieces. You can renew it with a linen or cotton cover; upholster it with padding to facilitate reading in bed or cover it with wood, like the one in the image, and it will gain warmth. If you choose a hatched or lined model (not opaque), it will be lighter. Is the bedroom narrow? Then place the wooden slats horizontally to visually widen it and, if you have low ceilings, vertically and you will gain in height.
