Letting the Sea Entering Your Home!

A beach house in Menorca already transports us mentally to paradise. But if it also has these views, wouldn’t we want to stay out there all day contemplating it?

Wouldn’t you want to stay out there all day looking at the sea? Have breakfast, eat, watch the sunset, read, take a nap with the breeze on your face… Everything out there, please! Therefore, we are not surprised that the architect opted to break the boundaries between interior and exterior. That we felt the living room on the beach, that we would never, never stop seeing the sea. If the structure of the house is designed to blend with the landscape, the decoration could not be less. Few furniture to give maximum prominence to the landscape. That is why the main pieces are made: the sofas, the children’s bunk beds, the closets, the double bed, the bathroom sinks.

The grace of brick furniture is that, in addition to being basic, simple, and attractive, they need few companions: the lime stucco that covers them, the white and stained wood, the macael marble for the kitchen and the repair mortar. that covers the floors giving a rustic air to space.

LET THE LIVING ROOM BE LIKE A PORCH

The interior designers wanted the inside to look like the outside. To do this, they had to bring in light from all sides. They made openings in almost all the walls. The wide-open slides disappear and a large skylight fills the center of the house with light.

WITH THE LIVING ROOM VERY OPEN TO THE PORCH

The architect opted for a more open house, breaking the boundaries between interior and exterior. Those views deserved to break the ceiling and walls! That we feel the living room on the same beach.

EAT WITH SEA VIEWS

The house had to be “simple, with the minimum of furniture to highlight the landscape”, another protagonist had to be the wonderful light of the island.

CURTAINS ON THE PORCH

The house is surrounded by dark stained Iroko wood Majorcan curtains and blinds, which resist humidity without losing beauty. And the curtains themselves add to the dreamy, summery look.

OPEN KITCHEN

The kitchen has a door and a bar that can isolate it or communicate it with the living room and make the sea reach it.

WITH BUILT-IN FURNITURE

The main pieces are of work. They wanted to use a few materials and to keep them very simple. Thus, the house works as a whole. And blank, of course.

THE BEDROOM

Like the rest of the rooms, it looks spacious and with a very natural style.

THE BUNK BEDS ARE ALSO BUILT

The grace of work furniture is that, in addition to being basic, simple, and attractive, they need few accessories. In white and straight lines, they occupy the minimum.
