Places Around The Home You Most Likely Forget To Clean

Most homeowners do not really like cleaning so it should come as no surprise to see there are many different parts of the home that basically never get cleaned. However, some spots are easier to neglect than others. Those that we talk about are really important as they often attract germs and collect filth. It does not matter how busy you are. You can work as a Springfield DUI attorney and still have no excuse not to clean these once in a while.

The Washing Machine

If you notice that no matter what you do, your close do not come out fresh after you put them through a washing machine cycle, there is very good possibility you need to clean the washing machine. Every single one will be different but it is not that hard to do actual cleaning. Simply mix baking soda with white vinegar and put that in the washer. Run a full cycle on the hottest setting you have. In addition, between uses, you do want to leave the door or lid open.

Curtains

If you want your house to be properly cleaned, you do not want to skip the curtains. Most of them are made out materials that are washing machine friendly. Materials can easily dry. However, in some cases the drapes and curtains need special cleaning steps. Remember that on curtains it is common to have build-ups of mold, pollen, dirt and dust. This is why you do need to clean them once in a while or they could become health hazards.

The Coffeemaker

How many times did you actually fully clean your coffeemaker? It is not enough to just rinse the coffee put. In fact, classic coffeemakers have to be cleaned every single day. You do this through a gentle rinse with water and soap. The deep clean can be done by running a cycle with equal parts water and white vinegar. Another cycle should follow with just water to get rid of the vinegar smell. When you do this you can easily prevent the appearance of mold and decalcify your machine at the same time.

Under Your Appliances

So many homeowners avoid cleaning under stoves or behind refrigerators for as long as they can. So many small spaces exist under appliances and it is easy to forget about them. They are going to collect so much dirt, food, grime and dust. From time to time, preferably every single month or week, you want to pull the refrigerator out. Proceed to clean coils and even wipe down walls. Then, finish with your floor. The same process should be done for all hidden areas like the oven, stove or all other appliances.

Trash Cans

Last but not least, you cannot fully remove smells or odors when you take out the trash. Getting rid of the garbage bag is not enough. You want to thoroughly scrub the trash can, rinse it with water and even use disinfectant. This has to be done as regularly as possible.
