Decoration trends that will reign in 2023 according to interior designers (II part)

Some we already saw coming, and others are taking hold. Three interior design studios tell us which styles, materials, colours and furniture will set the trends in decoration in 2023.

Today, we continue telling you the great novelties when it comes to interior decoration for 2023. Follow the life-changing trends that will beautify your personal space.

WE WILL MIX WARM AND COLD TONES

As indicated by interior designers, everything indicates that we cannot avoid playing with warm and cold colours. Beiges, browns and off-whites bring warmth. With blue or green touches, the decoration will gain elegance and sobriety.

WARM MINIMALISM, ALSO IN 2023

WarmΒ minimalismΒ will continue to be a trend next year.Β Clear spaces are preferred, with few pieces, but very well chosen, in which order, simplicity and functionality prevail.

The objective is to achieve cosy environments, in coherence and absolute harmony, that lead us to a sensation of calm. To achieve this, we were left with a mix of the best Scandinavian and Japanese decorations. The colour white as the protagonist, tones neutrals and beiges, furniture with straight lines and natural materials, such as wood and vegetable fibres. And plants, naturally natural, are essential elements to achieve that balance.

WOODEN FURNITURE

The quintessential material for creating environments that transmit warmth, well-being and connection with nature will also be the protagonist in 2023. At Franquet Barrau they are committedΒ to walnut and oakΒ wood furniture. They are two very versatile, robust, resistant, long-lasting and aesthetically complete varieties.

NATURAL STONES

During 2023, natural stone will continue to set the trend.Β It combines robustness and durability with great beauty. In addition, natural stones add character and personality to environments and, above all, great, great versatility, since we have a great variety: granite, limestone, sandstone, slate, and marble.

And of all of them, in Coblonal Interiorisme the recovery ofΒ travertine marble stands out. And not only in damp rooms, such as the bathroom or kitchen, but we will see it in flooring and wall tiles in other rooms of the house.

ART DECO INSPIRATION

Art Deco returns with force in 2023 with details that will help us achieve stylish and elegant spaces. We can include mouldings, black and white lacquered elements, bronze or gold touches, and notes of bright colours.

TERRAZZO FLOOR, A TREND THAT RETURNS

The commitment to recover elements of traditional architecture to give them a contemporary image places terrazzo in one of the first positions of the materials that will be a trend in 2023. Terrazzo resurfaces with innovative versions that are more ecological, resistant and durable, in addition to a more youthful and minimalist look.

THE HANDMADE, A RISING VALUE

As interior designers point out very well, craftsmanship is a new luxury.Β A luxury that has nothing to do with ostentatious aesthetics, shine or excessive mixtures, but with a return to the traditional, to the authentic.

This trend, which began to appear timidly a couple of seasons ago, has a predilection for handmade pieces, natural materials, and irregular and imperfect finishes.Β And it’s not just about ceramics.Β Also, wooden furniture, hand-woven rugs, and natural braids.
