The Most Decorative Terraces To Test This Summer In Paris

New beautiful addresses or revamped confirmed spots, the terraces of the capital are gaining ground for the summer season. The summer of 2022 is no exception to the rule:   Parisian restaurateurs are once again betting as much on the ethics of the products served as the aesthetics of the outdoor decor offered to attract a clientele ever more eager to savour new dishes in places highly redecorated for the summer. Here is our overview of the most beautiful Parisian terraces

Créatures, the most vegetal Parisian terrace

A high-perched refuge, Créatures sits majestically on the roof of the most emblematic store in the capital: Les Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Plant parenthesis in the heart of the city, the place is the work of Uchronia. To accompany the address’s 100% plant-based menu, Julien Sebban  – at the head of this most prominent collective at the moment – has imagined a vast space made up of three plants, fruit and an aromatic “oasis”. Wave-like curves – the architectural leitmotif of Uchronia -, recycled materials, vibrant colours: Creatures imposes its atypical and whimsical touch from the first meeting, a perfect spot for summer evenings.

Gigi, the most discreet Parisian terrace

After dropping off her suitcases in Ramatuelle and Val-d’Isère, Gigi arrives in Paris to conquer a public keen on infinitely preserved places. Perched high up with the Eiffel Tower in sight and the Théâtre des Champs Élysées as a neighbour downstairs, the Gigi restaurant welcomes guests in a chic district of the capital, once again using the ingredients that have made it so successful. His recipe in question? A menu with Italian flavours in a deeply Parisian setting with Italian touches. Under the guidance of interior designer Hugo Toro, the address displays a perfect mastery of codes of French elegance and Milanese fantasy. Antique pieces and cane seats for the interior, white tablecloths, striped blinds and furniture as chic as they are comfortable on the terraces. Tree-lined and preserved, the place promises, without a doubt, mild summer evenings…

Girafe, the most Parisian of the capital’s terraces

From the plate to the decoration, Girafe belongs to this family of Parisian terraces which does not fear the qualifier of “Parisian” precisely. Ideally located in the heart of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, a stone’s throw from the Trocadéro, the address of the Paris Society group is making its mark and betting on its uninhibited luxury and its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. If the interior of the restaurant plays the card of the felted decoration which evokes the Paris of the Thirties, the exterior bets on a luxurious simplicity: white tablecloths as in a real Parisian brasserie of yesteryear, rattan armchairs for a relaxed and trendy touch, intimate lights to enjoy the view at night… Proof once again that Paris always rhymes with magic, in case some still doubt it.
