The Beach House That Will Have You Planning the Trip of Your Dreams to the Coast

When the interior designer Cortney Bishop began working on this project that has been located on the coast of South California her idea was to create a true beach retreat. She did the exact thing! This home is made for summer weekend getaways, and the goal was to create a space that is enough cozy and comfortable, yet cool and relaxed.

The dreamy surroundings inspired her even more and some unique decor finds for bringing the vision to life. This restored beach bungalow spans 2600 squares feet, and has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. It was originally built in 1936 so because of this reason its original architecture led Bishop’s design process and offered a great starting point. Thanks to this the house got more modern aspects and features of the finished home to build off of.

When it comes to the interior design in the home, Bishop said that the durability of this house was the key for the designing a relaxed home for a large family. The furnishings and were picked to be stylish and cool, yet family-friendly, and when it comes to texture and color, it has been made with rich colors that can reflect their laid-back way of living – instant depth and layers.
