Relax and Unwind: A Deep Dive into the Different Types of Bathtubs

Corner, round, Victorian, or with hydro massage. When choosing the bathtub model for the bathroom, there is no shortage of options.

The problem is the doubt that hangs in the air. But resolve this impasse, however, is quite simple. You need to know the types of bathtubs available on the market and thus choose the one that best meets your needs.

It is not just the bathtub’s design that should be considered when choosing the ideal model. Last but not least, define the type of bathtub for the bathroom based on the decorative style of the environment. A modern bathroom is even more beautiful with bathtubs that meet this design, such as the freestanding type.

The more classic bathrooms have a hydromassage model very well, while the more daring ones are the face of a Victorian bathtub.

Freestanding bathtub

The freestanding bathtub is one of the darlings of the moment. She is charming, and brings a certain retro air to the environment, but, at the end of the day, she is very modern.

Freestanding does not require a previous structure to be installed, as with built-in bathtubs. This model can be placed in any area of the bathroom, even in the center, without the need for a support or wall nearby.

The largest size comfortably accommodates two people. Another characteristic of this type of bathtub is its height. The freestanding is higher and therefore allows for even more relaxing immersion baths.

However, it requires space. For this reason, it is suitable for large bathrooms.

Built-in bathtub

The built-in bathtub is one of the most traditional and popular. It is available for sale in different formats and with numerous accessory options, ranging from hydromassage to chromotherapy.

However, as the name suggests, the built-in bathtub needs a masonry structure to support it and also a wall to support it. It can be used in both large bathrooms and small bathrooms, as there are different size options on the market.

Corner bathtub

The corner bathtub is the number one option for those who have a small bathroom but don’t give up having a bathtub.

This model has a triangular shape, where one end fits into the corner of the bathroom. It can be both built-in and masonry.  And despite the space savings, the corner bath can accommodate up to two people comfortably.
