Designing a modern home while at the same time it feels like a Montana lodge is a hefty project. It isn’t something that Eskuche Associates won’t do though and they have proven that by designing a lakeside house on a Lake Minnetonka peninsula lot for their clients who wanted to have a modern yet rustic residence.
How did they do it? They used warm textures on edgy shapes made of natural materials.
From the architects: “This home represents a combination of design features that create a striking solution uniquely accommodating the homeowner’s program combining the open feel of a desert home with the coziness of a mountain lodge, yet having a modern edge. A stunning home is the result of clever design ideas that met a very constrained lot area that begins at 35′ of width at the street and is restricted by severe bluff setbacks toward the lake frontage that was maximized.”
