How Would Metropolises Look Like With Their Lights Off?

We are so used to living with light everywhere we go, we have become incredibly dependent on it up to the point we can’t imagine living without it at all. But one man, artist Thierry Cohen decided to use his skills in order to show the world how would major metropolises from around the world look like with their lights off.

With his work of art, Thierry Cohen shows us a sight we will never be able to see outside due to the artificial light and atmosphere pollution. A sight so wonderful it makes us think who had a better life, us with all these technological advancements, or people who lived in the past when there was no such thing?

This photographer brought peace to the ever busy streets of these large metropolises from everywhere around the world by digitally mixing two worlds into one. He also showed us what the sky used to look like before the light pollution. Check these images out and ask yourselves the question above. Do you already know the answer?
