InForm Design is an Australian firm that specializes in the design of stunning compact modern homes as we’ve already seen in their Brighton House and Alphington Residence projects.
Similar to these projects, the Black Rock Residence is an amazing modern home characterized by simple forms with a bold palette and a strong connection to the outdoor areas which are properly landscaped.
This family residence features a double height entry hall that flows onto generous living spaces orientated to the north east. A raised deck and loggia overlook a grand hedge and cobalt blue pool, creating a feast of colour observed through full height windows.
The exterior is characterised by simple bold forms offset by expansive glazing and delicate louvre panels, while internally, abundant natural light illuminates a Scandinavian aesthetic that is sharpened by black fixtures and highlight cabinetry.
The hub of the home, the living room, exhibits clean lines. Boxy in nature, key joinery pieces employ colour blocking through varying textures of natural timber and a black steel shrouded fireplace.
The upper floor accommodates a hotel style master domain, a large study and three bedrooms.
